Half-day Panoramic view on Acoustic Materials - 3 - Georgios Theocharis

The youth group of the new EAA (European Acoustics Association) Technical Committee on Acoustic Materials, the YAN (Young Acoustician Network) and the YRAM (Young Researchers in Acoustic Metamaterials) organized a joint event for young researchers (masters/PhD/post-docs) on the topic of acoustic materials on Monday, May 10, 2021.

The program included 6 accessible lectures to grasp different aspects of the topic:

• Current (and future) trends in acoustic materials - Bart Van Damme (Empa)

• From granular media to magneto granular crystals - Georgios Theocharis (LAUM)

• Viscoelasticity in porous materials - Lucie Rouleau (CNAM)

• Bio-based acoustic materials for building applications - Clément Piégay (CEREMA)

• Biomedical ultrasound applications of acoustics holograms - Noé Jimenez (I3M, UPV)
